Sometimes a pencil is really more powerful than a sword. After celebrating Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, the newly appointed U.S. president went straight to work, spending hours in the Oval Office, signing more than 200 executive orders while answering random questions from reporters. Among these ledgers were several orders that essentially vaporized the DEI from the federal government; ending the four-year awakening cult imposed by the Biden administration.
The executive orders included the federal government, which legally recognized only two genders/genders and the closure of all DEI-related offices. Along with these actions, which will basically end the open presence of transgender people in most aspects of the government, Trump also revoked Biden’s order allowing transgender people to join the U.S. military. The reversal lays the foundation for the administration to bring back Trump’s original ban on trans militants.
Any skeptical thinking that a woke is “not dead” will learn a lesson today about how quickly things can change. Most commentators on the hailstorm of Trump’s executive orders note that they are getting a “whiplash” from the previous president’s 180-degree turnaround. The U.S. military, in particular, was in a downward spiral by the end of the Biden era, with most branches struggling to meet recruitment quotas, and military brass openly embracing woke ideology and CRT initiatives.
That trend has been a national embarrassment on the global stage, with foreign adversaries ramping up their recruiting efforts everywhere, while America has worried about taxpayer-funded gender, confirming caring for clown trans military personnel. Such medical care is often cited as the only reason why many trans activists joined the military in the first place.
These actions, coupled with a possible confirmation from Pete Hegseth, open the way for a much more serious U.S. military based on merit, not DEI. This includes ending the abandonment of physical fitness standards for transgender recruiters who have “negative side effects” from hormone replacement therapy (which they get for free, of course, after joining). An estimated 15,000 trans military personnel are currently serving, a number under Joe Biden. There are an unfortunate number of trans workers in leadership positions.
If a country wants to avoid war and maintain peace, one of the surest strategies is to project strength and competence. The U.S. is finding it increasingly difficult to appear strong, while the armed forces are actively recruiting people who are inflated with estrogen. It’s also hard to seem competent when catering for the subtle mental illnesses of ultra-emotional activists.
Trump’s executive orders are a return to the normalcy that Americans have desperately needed, but he has also made the U.S. much safer with a few pens.
