Peeter Espak: The international club of criminal dictatorial regimes and ideologies has hijacked international law and its institutions.

The International Criminal Court has ordered the arrest of Israel’s Prime Minister and former Defense Minister.

It is advisable not to maintain ties with individuals who work for this mock court or are associated with it in any capacity as service providers. This is because, this time, the U.S. sanctions will not only target the individuals involved but, most likely, also the “service-providing” institutions connected to them. In other words, a bank that provides services will also come under sanctions, forcing transactions to be conducted in Bitcoin—or requiring assistance from China. However, extremists perceive their international pariah status in the Western world as an “achievement.”

Sanctions decisions (as with the spring sanctions) will likely be made again with relative consensus between Republicans and Democrats in the U.S. Congress. It has already been announced that the relevant legislation will be a top priority for the new U.S. Congress from the start, and there is no doubt about the outcome.

Fundamentally, this is a complete mockery of international law. From now on, it can be said that such institutions, which attack democratically elected leaders defending their countries in legitimate wars against aggressors—such as Putin’s Russia—have no further global relevance or credibility.

Naturally, these decisions are also influenced by actors from various dictatorial states who aim to drive wedges between left-extremist-led European nations, the EU, and the U.S., ensuring that the coming years are marked not only by an inability to defend Western interests in war but also by divisions among Western allies, both strategically and ideologically. Thus, China, Russia, Iran, Hamas, and BRICS celebrate the success of this clever operation.

A similar information operation aimed at fragmenting the international legal order was evident during UN Secretary-General Guterres’ audience with the Russian Tsar, which was deliberately staged to appear as it did. The UN no longer represents states founded on law and justice but rather serves as a club for dictatorships.

Whether it is the UN with most of its institutions and its Secretary-General, or this so-called court, which was born with good intentions but has now become a farce, the international club of criminal dictatorial regimes and ideologies has hijacked international law and its institutions.
