First Lady Melania Trump, who will take office, said in an interview that aired on Jan. 13 that the transition to the White House this time will be different from the period that followed her husband’s first election victory.

It’s because I know where I’m going. I know the spaces in which we live. I know the process,” said 54-year-old Melania Trump of Fox &; In an interview aired by Friends. “The first time was difficult, we didn’t have a lot of information.”

The incoming First Lady said everything is already packed and she has chosen the furniture to be installed when President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden and their family release the White House on Jan. 20. In just five hours, transition workers will take the Bidens out and take the Trumps in.

Melania Trump said she spends most of her time at the White House, though there are days when she has to be in New York or Palm Beach, Florida.

Melania Trump’s 19-year-old son, Barron Trump, and the president-elect, who lived in the White House for his first term, will visit the White House for the next four years, he said. Barron Trump is preparing to take classes at New York University.

Melania Trump said her 2024 memoir has garnered a slew of responses from fans who wanted to hear more from her. This prompted a new film project, which began shooting in November of the same year. The film shows his day-to-day life, including preparation for a return to the White House, he said.

She told Fox she was looking forward to becoming First Lady again.

I think it’s going to be an exciting four years. We have a lot to do to get the country back in shape,” he said.

Melania Trump is still hiring her team. He plans to leave some positions open until the Trumps move back to the White House.

“I don’t want to hire too many people on my team and spend too much taxpayer money. I want to make sure that in every position, they’re talented, they have merit, they know what they’re doing, and … they’re team players. They don’t have their own agenda. They serve me, they serve my office, and they serve the country.”

She said she would continue her “Be the Best” campaign, which she started when she was First Lady from 2017 to 2021. “Be Best” focuses on the mental health of young people, including protecting children from cyberbullying.

The arriving first lady said she has also seen a change in the way people treat her.

I feel like I was always the first time I… I just feel like people maybe didn’t accept me. They didn’t understand me the way they might be doing now. And I didn’t have a lot of support,” he said. “Maybe some people just see me as the president’s wife, but I’m standing on my own feet, independent. I have my own thoughts, I have my own ‘yes’ and ‘no’.”

Melania Trump said she doesn’t always agree with what her husband does or says. She gives advice to her husband, she said.

“Sometimes he listens and sometimes he doesn’t, and that’s OK,” he said.
