Mario Maripuu – Once, I was a patriot of the Republic of Estonia.

Today, after I have come to understand what the institution called the Republic of Estonia really is, and who an Estonian truly is, this created state is drifting further and further away from me.

80% of the laws come from the European Union, imposed on our people with German precision. My people are essentially taxed to death in this country, and the people have been stripped of any real decision-making power in the governance of the state. Such a state no longer serves the citizens who live here, but instead fattens the rulers clinging to power and the bureaucracies for no good reason.

And since I no longer feel like a part of this state, I cannot call myself Estonian based on this state either. I belong among the indigenous people of Läänemaa and identify myself as a Läänlane from Ridala parish.

Indigenous peoples — the time has come to awaken and stand against such tyranny! The time has come to recall this institution called the Republic of Estonia!
