Invitation for cooperation: European Conference on Health and Human Rights

0

On 11–12 September 2025, the Estonian Parliament will host the first ever European Health and Human Rights Conference, focusing on the future of healthcare, human rights and shaping European health policy in the post-COVID era.
The conference is organised by members of the Riigikogu in cooperation with the World Council for Health Estonia, which is part of the World Health Council – worldcouncilforhealth.org, and stands for all of our health rights that were revoked during Covid. Our aim is to restore freedom of expression in health sciences and more broadly, to maintain human dignity and respect for all living species, and to stand against the new bureaucratic amendments to the Health Act by the WHO (World Health Organisation), which aim to legalize Covid-era measures in the near future.
We also stand for the validity of our constitution and fundamental rights that would guarantee us a certain autonomy in crisis situations. Currently, all of these aforementioned topics are under threat and are fading into the past. It is with the examination of these topics and further action programmes on 11-12 of September conference will be attended by the world’s strongest experts. What makes this event exceptional is the fact that it will take place directly in our Riigikogu and our conference will be supported by the opening speech of the US Secretary of Health, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. himself.
The event will bring together influential high-level politicians, doctors, scientists, lawyers and other experts in the field from various European countries and the United States of America. The aim is to develop and implement further cooperation in the form of the best expertise and to do everything possible to ensure that the problems and measures during the Covid pandemic never happen again.
In implementing this important conference, we wish to cooperate with responsible and forward-looking supporters who value the values of health, human dignity and a free society.
