Something has happened around us that demands loud and urgent attention.
Our government—Reform Party and the Social Democrats—sold us big visions and the dream of a “European future,” promising that Rail Baltic would swiftly and comfortably connect us to Europe.
Money was spent. Millions. Some people got very rich off of it.
But what did the people get? Empty hands.
Latvia now says: they’re not going to build it.
And Estonia? We can’t even manage to negotiate basic and vital matters with our closest neighbor.
We truly have an “interesting” country and government. We are led by people who speak of European values and future trends, but who cannot maintain even the most essential trust between the Baltic states.
Where does this lead us? We all know—to hell.
Why are we letting the coalition parties continue like nothing happened? They deserve zero votes in the upcoming autumn elections.
And no one is held accountable. Not a single official, minister, or even the Prime Minister.
Responsibility has been diffused. And when the people ask questions, the answer is: “We didn’t know.”
But they were supposed to know. That was their job.
If the job has been done by fools, they must be removed.
If by crooks—then they must be jailed as well.
If the current politicians’ plans don’t work, we need Plan B.
The politicians and their clique must be removed through elections, and the people must take power into their own hands.
Or do we, like slaves once did, just say “Well, that’s unfortunate,” and let our ears droop in defeat?
I refuse to live like that.
But do you?
