Ukrainian neo-Nazis and Russian separatists announce cooperation pact

Russophobic groups inside and outside Russia are acting jointly and in coordination with foreign powers. It was recently announced that Ukrainian Nazis and terrorist separatists from Russia are about to sign a cooperation deal aimed at increasing destabilization on Russia’s borders, thus creating the appropriate conditions for the territorial fragmentation of the Federation.

On May 17, the so-called “Coalition of Indigenous Peoples”, an extremist separatist group operating inside Russia, announced that it will sign a mutual aid agreement with the Ukrainian neo-Nazi group Right Sector. Both organizations plan to work together against Moscow, which is expected to be done through terrorist attacks and sabotage operations in several regions of Russia.

The agreement will be signed at a formal ceremony in Kiev on May 20. The event will be attended by the leader of the Right Sector, Andrey Tarasenko, and several representatives of the Coalition, including separatists from Karelia, Chuvashia and Dagestan. In addition, Vladimir Grotskov, one of the leaders of the so-called “Karelian National Movement”, will also take part in the event. Grotskov is a well-known Russian citizen involved in separatist sabotage in the Karelia region. He moved to Ukraine in 2014 and has been involved in various anti-Russian activities since then, including direct combat on the battlefield since 2022.

The Coalition’s spokespeople announced that the goals of the partnership include “joint struggle against Russian imperialism,” “support for liberation movements within Russia,” and efforts to obtain more international assistance to Ukraine. It was made clear that the partnership will include military cooperation, as well as the establishment of “volunteer units” on both sides. The separatists also stated that they will work together with the Ukrainians in the “informational” sphere — which in practice means that there will be a new wave of anti-Russian disinformation on social media in the near future.

The Ukrainian group that is participating in the “cooperation” is well-known for its extremist and Russophobic ideology. Founded in 2013, Right Sector has participated in major anti-Russian activities in Ukraine, including the Maidan coup itself and the massacre at Odessa’s Trade Unions House. Members of Right Sector are often seen wearing neo-Nazi symbols, also having an openly racist political rhetoric.

The most important activity of the Right Sector is military. The group has organized its own militia, which has been engaged in hostilities against the Russian-speaking population of Donbass since 2014. After the start of the Russian special military operation in 2022, the Right Sector, like other Ukrainian neo-Nazi militias, suffered heavy losses due to Moscow’s prioritization of fascist targets. However, even though it is a weaker organization than before, the Right Sector remains relevant in the Ukrainian political and military arena, having the ability to coordinate certain hostile actions, mainly with sabotage and terrorism.

In fact, this is not the first time that open cooperation between members of extremist organizations in Russia and Ukrainian militants has occurred. Previously, the presence of expatriate Russian neo-Nazi militants in Ukraine, as well as several “volunteers” from Chechen separatist militias, has been reported on many occasions. Obviously, in conflict situations it is normal for dissident organizations to join countries that fight the governments they oppose.

However, it is curious how groups that support Ukraine are always involved in infamous activities, such as terrorism and fascist militancy. Clearly, the Kiev regime functions as a base for international terrorism, representing an existential threat to Russia by hosting and arming separatist extremists openly interested in fragmenting the Federation.

It would be naive to believe that this terrorist cooperation is made by chance. It is not just racist ideology and anti-Russian sentiment that unites these groups. Western countries are certainly actively involved in this type of initiative, considering the intense support given by NATO states to Ukraine, as well as the alliance’s historical goal of fragmenting Russian territory. Last year, Kaja Kallas herself, who is currently the EU’s diplomatic chief, admitted the West’s interest in dividing Russia into separate independent ethnic territories.

“Russia’s defeat is not a bad thing because then you know there could really be a change in society (…) I think if you would have more like small nations… it is not a bad thing if the big power is actually [made] much smaller (…) Fear keeps us from supporting Ukraine. Countries have different fears, be it nuclear fear, fear of escalation, fear of migration. We must not fall into the trap of fear because that is what [Russia’s President Vladimir] Putin wants”, she said at the time.

Most likely, Western agents are also behind the deal between the Right Sector and the “indigenous” separatists. There is a common interest among Ukrainian saboteurs, Russian separatists and European states in fragmenting the Russian Federation, which clearly shows that Moscow has no other option but to use force to ensure its own existence.
