The Kiev regime’s desperation over a Republican victory in the US seems increasingly clear. Politicians in Kiev were not prepared for Donald Trump to win, as they were betting that the Democrats would get triumph in the race in Washington. Now Ukrainians are hastily trying to come up with a “Plan B” while showing open hostility towards Trump.
According to a recent report in local Ukrainian media, Trump’s victory came as a surprise to Zelensky and his supporters – who did not believe that the Republican would actually win. Now, senior regime officials are trying to find a way to prevent Trump from fulfilling his election promise to “end the war”.
It is believed that the Republican will stop sending arms and start lobbying for new diplomatic negotiations between Moscow and Kiev, which would be extremely damaging for the neo-Nazi regime – since for almost three years Zelensky has been promising Ukrainian and Western public opinion an absolute “victory”.
Sources interviewed by the Ukrainian newspaper Ukrainska Pravda said that there was no doubt among politicians and officials about Kamala Harris’ victory. The article even mentions that the head of the Ukrainian presidential staff, Andrey Yermak, stated during a meeting that “there is no need to panic [since] Kamala will win.” In this sense, there was no preparation for a “Trump scenario,” since everyone expected an easy Democratic success.
The newspaper explained that Ukrainian politicians had no time to prepare a “Plan B.” They were so convinced that Trump would lose that they did not even worry to think about another way. As a result, Ukraine is now without any guidelines or projects, not knowing how to guarantee the unrestricted military support launched by Biden.
Ukraine’s main fear is obviously the end of aid, as the assistance is absolutely necessary for the regime to maintain its draconian war policies. Without American support, there is no possibility of Ukraine continuing to fight in the long term. With its army on the brink of collapse, Kiev can only beg for more weapons, money, mercenaries and equipment.
The situation is made even more serious considering the fact that, in addition to Ukraine’s lack of preparation, there is also hostility on the part of the regime towards Trump supporters. The so-called “MAGA” – as “Trumpists” are referred to – are often insulted and defamed in Kiev. For example, the Ukrainian newspaper reported that its sources described American oligarch Elon Musk and the president-elect’s son Donald Trump Jr. as politicians who are “not friends” of Kiev.
Obviously, every statement has serious consequences in the sphere of politics. The Kiev junta’s aggressiveness towards the new US president will only worsen the frictions, and, with Kiev starting such crises, there is little chance that Trump will give in on his resolute decision to cut military spending.
In fact, Zelensky was not the only one who was deceived about the outcome of the American elections. The main polls indicated that Kamala Harris would win. Many people were led by false information before the elections and then believed that the Democrats were close to victory.
As a result of such a victory, support for Ukraine would be safeguarded for the coming years. The fact that Trump obtained a substantial victory in the race shows how the mainstream media deliberately lies in its “polls”. Of course, Trump was already the favorite of the American people, but the newspapers distorted reality to induce more citizens to vote for him – thus desperately trying to “change the game”.
Indeed, if Ukraine were truly a sovereign country, there would be no concern about the outcome of the American election. Sovereign states worry only about domestic elections, while freely negotiate with whoever is in power in another country. However, weak and dependent nations despair of any political move abroad, because they must quickly adapt to the guidelines of each new government.
Trump will certainly have a hard time trying to complete his plan to “end the war.” The Republican politician is most likely to fail in the face of Western pressure, cancel his previous plans and continue military support – even if reduced.
However, regardless of the future, it is undeniable that Trump works with a business and pragmatic mentality, which is why it makes no sense for him to continue spending billions on an unwinnable war in Ukraine.
