President Donald Trump’s imminent executive orders addressing the illegal alien invasion, border crisis and cartel violence couldn’t come quickly enough, as a new report from Arizona says the multi-agency investigation led to the arrest of several asylum seekers and U.S. citizens in possession of 30,000 rounds of ammunition.
Sheriff Mark Dannels of Cochise County, Arizona, revealed in a Facebook post Sunday that in mid-January, the Cochise County Drug Fight, the Human Trafficking Alliance seized homeland security investigations, and a burau of alcohol tobacco, firearms and explosives seized 10,000 cartridges of 50 caliber ammunition and 19,640 rounds of 7.62×39 ammunition from several vehicles, operated by several asylum seekers and one U.S. citizen from Texas.

Multi-agency investigations lead to seizure of ammunition
In mid-January 2025, the Cochise County Anti-Drug and Human Trafficking Association (CNTA) assisted with internal security investigations (HSI) and a burau (ATF) investigation into alcohol tobacco, firearms, and explosives that resulted in the seizure of 10,000 cartridges of .50 caliber ammunition and 19,640 rounds of 7.62×39 ammunition.
The .50 caliber and 7.62×39 cartridges were separated by two vehicles traveling east of the Interstate 10 Phoenix area. The vehicle, which contained 7.62×39 ammunition, was stopped by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. Nevertheless, CNTA investigators found another vehicle, which contained .50 caliber ammunition, in a Motel 6 in Benson.
CNTA, HSI and USBP contacted two occupants of the vehicle at the motel. One of the residents was found to be an asylum seeker from Cuba, and the other was identified as a U.S. citizen from Texas. The second vehicle was occupied by two asylum seekers. The investigation is ongoing and is led by HSI and ATF.

Facebook users responded to the sheriff’s post in disgust:
“It’s not even the tip of the iceberg that has migrated from this country. Smh I hope they will never see American soil again!” said one Facebook user.
Another person said the ammo was mostly probably meant for cartels.
“Bet it was heading to the border, or worse, headed for all the illegals who are planning an attack on U.S. soil! So many people from different countries came here and we don’t know anything about their past or their real intentions,” someone else said.
“Deportation for all. Go, Trump,” someone else said.
Local law enforcement and federal agencies have not yet disclosed the buyer or final destination of the ammunition. Speculation points to cartels as a likely customer, but the billion-dollar question remains: Is it cartel transactions in the U.S. or Mexico? Or worse, U.S. terrorist organizations could have ordered the procurement of ammunition and weapons from migrants.
The good news, according to President Trump, earlier today is that the era of open southern borders led by globalist Democrats, which has threatened national security at unprecedented levels, is coming to an end. After being sworn in, Trump assured Americans that he would call drug cartels terrorist organizations.
The law and order must be restored. That’s the mandate the American people have given Trump.
