Washington Post cartoonist arrested for possession of child pornography

Opinion

It happens again. A prominent California-based comic book creator, cartoonist, and author has been arrested on suspicion of possessing and creating child pornography. The case adds to a growing list of agency newsworkers and syndicated content creators arrested for child abuse over the past few years.

Darrin Bell, 49, who is the first black American to win a Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartoons, was arrested Wednesday morning at his South Sacramento home by investigators from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. The deputies had served a search warrant against Bell after the Sacramento Valley Child Crimes Task Force investigated.

During a search of Bell’s home, investigators found 134 videos of child pornography linked to an account owned and controlled by Bell, as well as computer-generated/AI child pornography, authorities said.

Darrin Bell is best known for his Candorville comic strips and other works published by the Washington Post that inject far-left ideology, racial mourning, pro-illegal immigration views, and LGBT issues into his content. He is resolutely anti-Trump and anti-conservative. Bell often attacked conservatives who dared to criticize the political left’s habit of grooming children; From ideological grooming to sexualized grooming. She usually compared conservatives to Nazis, responding to the removal of sexualized gender propaganda in public school libraries.

Now it seems that we know why he was so offended by conservative attempts to protect children from propagandist.

Corporate media outlets have been hit by a steady series of employee arrests related to child abuse and pornography over the past few years, and this trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. One may begin to think that corporate news is a wretched scum and villain that actually attracts pedophiles, but how could these things happen in the halls of such “prestigious” organizations?

This theme entered the mainstream aggressively in 2023 with the release of the film “Sound Of Freedom”, which is based on the true story of independent investigation that led to the unveiling of the international circle of child sex trafficking. After the film’s release, hundreds of journalists and numerous corporate platforms attacked the film relentlessly, even though the film had no political messages to talk about. Such behavior made everyone wonder, where does all hostility come from?

Does not everyone agree that child sexual abuse is wrong? Well, almost everyone except pedophiles… and establishment journalists.

“Check their hard drive” is becoming the motto of the media industry more broadly, and for good reason. Darrin Bell is being held on $1 million bail and is expected to appear in court Friday.
