RFK Jr. declares war on the magazine cartel
“We will probably stop publishing in the Lancet, the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA and these other journals because they are all corrupt.”
On today’s Ultimate Human Podcast with Gary Brecka, RFK Jr. explained the following:
“We’re probably going to stop publishing in the Lancet, the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and these other journals because they’re all corrupt. And even the editors of those journals, like Marcia Angell, who was editor of the New England Journal of Medicine for 20 years, are saying that we’re not a scientific journal anymore. We’re a vessel for pharmaceutical propaganda.”
He’s right. These journals have become nothing more than vessels for pharmaceutical propaganda. Dr. Marcia Angell, who was editor of the New England Journal of Medicine
for over 20 years, has publicly admitted that hers and other journals have been hijacked by the medical industry. Her exact words:
“It is simply no longer possible to trust many published clinical studies or rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I am not satisfied with this conclusion, which I have slowly and reluctantly reached during my two decades as editor of the New England Journal of Medicine.”
RFK Jr. also cited Dr. Richard Horton, the current editor-in-chief of The Lancet, who testified:
“The argument against science is simple: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, is simply wrong. Science has turned dark due to small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and obvious conflicts of interest, as well as an obsession with chasing fashion trends of dubious importance.”
In the podcast, RFK Jr. laid out a clear plan to eliminate this corruption:
- NIH researchers will no longer publish their work in these corrupt journals unless there is a comprehensive reform.
- The NIH allocates 20% of its budget to replication research to restore scientific integrity.
- Peer reviews will be made transparent and public.
- New, independent, NIH-supported journals are being created in every healthcare institution, aiming to become the new standard for serious science.
At the McCullough Foundation, we have experienced the workings of a journal cartel firsthand. A prime example of this is Elsevier’s flagrant violation of COPE guidelines when our study, “A Systematic Review of Autopsy Findings in Deaths Following COVID-19 Vaccination,” was likely retracted shortly after successful peer review and formal approval because it demonstrated a high probability of a causal relationship between COVID-19 vaccines and deaths.
Our study had just established itself as world-leading research across all disciplines before Elsevier unexpectedly intervened:
Gatekeeping, targeted censorship, and unethical retractions have suppressed essential and life-saving research—especially research that challenges the pharmaceutical narrative about vaccine safety.
RFK Jr.’s comments come as the US Department of Justice launched an investigation into leading medical journals for bias, fraud and corruption related to the pandemic:
For the first time, the federal government appears poised to dismantle a journal cartel that has corrupted and distorted science for decades.
