Lauri Jürgenson: It seems like it’s the end for Georgia now!

Opinion

Kaja Kallas warned Georgia against violence towards protesters.

If Kaja Kallas is already issuing warnings, then it’s no laughing matter. Of course, they still have a lot to learn from us about democracy, because, well… take Karis for example. Our completely democratically elected president (it was a nail-biting choice between Alar and Karis), who practically knows everything about foreign policy and was bold enough to be the only leader in the world to publicly declare the need to bring Russia to its knees.

Tšahkna isn’t far behind with his promise to shove Putin’s teeth down his throat. And Kaja – well, she practically embodies wisdom, justice, courage, honesty, and democracy. Her list of heroic deeds is so extensive it could fill the entire internet. That said, she’s best known in this corner of the world as a great truth-teller who has *never* been caught lying. Well, perhaps only on those rare occasions when she’s allowed to speak… but otherwise, absolutely not.

Estonia, overall, is one of the most honest countries in the world, boasting its completely illegal e-elections. It’s hard to think of any other country as honest as ours. People here are happy and content, enjoying economic growth and genuine tax peace. Just recently, Saaremaa Lihatööstus started wholeheartedly enjoying this tax peace, but that’s another story…

So yeah… things are looking bad for Georgia. It’s worrisome.

😶
P.S. Please try to remember that our squirrel-faced government has *never* lied to us… with a completely straight face… and for years now!
