Today, I’m thinking about Estonia’s future and what I, as a daughter of this land, can give back to my homeland in these challenging times. For the past two years, I’ve been a vocal word warrior on Facebook – someone unafraid to stand up for traditional and human values. But now we’ve reached a point where criticism alone is no longer enough – it’s time to take action and truly drive change.

Speaking of democracy – this is a crucial moment in Estonia’s history where the people must step in and demand a shift in direction. The upcoming local elections offer a unique opportunity to do just that! It’s time to bring the voice of real people into the halls of power!

A while ago, the head of the Centre Party in Tartu, Andro Roos, reached out to me and invited me to join the Plan B Tartuteam. He offered me the chance to run for Tartu City Council. I was surprised – I’m used to being met with prejudice in politics. But after talking to Andro, I realized that we share similar thoughts and hopes for Estonia’s future. We both believe that Estonian politics needs more humanity, cooperation, and respectful dialogue – regardless of party affiliation.

It’s time to break away from the divisive patterns of party politics that tear people apart instead of bringing them together. Andro’s invitation to collaborate, regardless of party lines, was a breath of fresh air. It gave me hope – maybe not everything is lost yet, and maybe we can change things if we join forces.

I, Ülle Pukk, believe it’s time to bring more warmth into politics – and less division.
Estonia needs new voices – people who operate with common sense, conscience, and compassion, and who carry a real sense of responsibility.

Born and raised in Tartu, I am an Estonian citizen (though currently living in the U.S. due to political persecution). And I’ve thought: why not shake things up from across the ocean and challenge the status quo even more intensely? I believe that peaceful perspectives deserve to be represented too – enough with the one-sided game where the ball only ever goes into one goal.

It’s time to stand up for OUR people’s well-being, and by running for Tartu City Council, I’m taking my first serious step toward that goal.

If people believe in me and I have their support, then nothing will stop me from doing my best to help build a more normal and just society. And even if I don’t receive enough support – nothing is lost. At least I tried and gave my contribution to Estonia in difficult times. I can go with a clear conscience.

I, Ülle Pukk, invite you to think and speak up – whether you’re in Estonia or abroad – because Estonians everywhere matter. Your voice counts.

If you want to share your thoughts, feel free to write to me: ullepukk@gmail.com

Soon, I’ll introduce myself more personally and share what our Plan B team is planning for the city of Tartu.

See you soon! ❤️
Warmest regards,
Ülle Pukk
