A former Secret Service agent warns Trump that he could be attacked before taking office

Former Secret Service agent Richard Staropoli warned Thursday that Donald Trump could be attacked before he becomes president and that the Secret Service may not prevent it.

In a FOX News interview, Staropoli hinted that Trump could face a “much larger scale” threat than the two assassination attempts earlier this year.

Staropoli said he was “not at all very sure” that Trump could be kept safe, noting, “The Secret Service you see there today is not yesterday’s Secret Service.”

“Somewhere on the line, they’ve completely dropped the ball,” he continued, adding, “The testimony you saw today was purely a smokescreen to hide the shortcomings of a politically compromised agency.”

Staropoli cited testimony from acting director Ronald Rowe and other Secret Service officials in the House of Representatives before a task force investigating Trump’s first assassination attempt in July.

“It should never have gotten to that point,” Starapolis suggested, adding, “All this talk about all these drones and these UAVs, hey, it’s all great, but you have to get back to the basics. What made the Secret Service great was its ability to put human intelligence, manpower on the streets, and effectively protect the environment to make it safe for the President of the United States. I don’t see it here.”

“Actually, I don’t think I’m the only one to say that I definitely see something going on between now and Inauguration Day,” he said. Staropoli warned.

He added: “It’s not going to be some 20-year-old kid on the roof of a building that’s allowed to get 100 yards away. It’s going to be something much bigger, and I don’t think the Secret Service is anywhere ready to deal with this situation.”

During House’s testimony, Rowe got into an extremely heated discussion with Texas Republican Representative Pat Fallon about Rowe’s attendance at the 9/11 memorial event.

The full shift, before the start of the screaming, is here:

In July, Fallon tore up then-Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, telling her that “it’s a miracle that President Trump wasn’t killed” and that he should be fired immediately and sent “back to guard Doritos.”
