Police in Loveland, Colorado, have arrested a suspect who allegedly vandalized a local Tesla dealership multiple times and left incendiary devices at the scene.

Justin Thomas Nelson, 42, a transgender person who goes by the first name Lucy, was arrested without incident Monday night.

The arrest stems from Lovement Police’s investigation into an arson attempt at a Tesla store shortly after midnight on February 7. Police also reported that various vehicles and the Tesla building were vandalized with graffiti messages, some of which were offensive and hateful in nature.

Police had already received similar reports on January 29 and February 2, but these incidents were less serious than the February 7 arson attempt.

“On Monday evening, Nelson returned to the Loveland Tesla again with additional incendiary devices and materials attributed to vandalism,” Loveland police said  in a press release .

“Detectives apprehended Nelson before further damage could be done.”

Nelson was booked into the Larimer County Jail on the following charges: Use of Explosives or Incendiary Devices During a Crime, a Class 2 Felony; Criminal Mischief $2,000 < $5,000 Business, a Class 6 Felony; and Attempt to Commit a Class 3 Felony, a Class 4 Felony.

A judge issued a $100,000 cash bail bond for the alleged trans terrorist.

Police said they were cooperating with the ATF on the case.

Mainstream media, including Fox News, received widespread coverage for reporting that the suspect’s gender was female.
