Update (13:25 ET):

Welcome back, Mr President.

President Trump, in his second inaugural address at the U.S. Capitol in Rotunda, declared, “America’s decline is over.” He described the election as a mandate to end the “terrible betrayal” and vowed to prioritize the “America First” agenda. The president also promised to “balance” the scales of justice.

“Our sovereignty will be withdrawn, our security will be restored, the scales of justice will be balanced. The vicious, violent and unfair weaponization of the Department of Justice and our government will end,” Trump said.

He said climate, education and public health policies are changing “from today and very quickly.”

Trump vowed to sign an executive order to “immediately halt the censorship of the entire government and bring free speech back to America.”

He said, “From that moment on, America’s decline has ended.”

The president then spoke of unity and criticized the Biden administration: “In the United States, as we gather today, our government is facing a crisis of confidence. For many years, a radical and corrupt institution has been extracting power and wealth from our citizens, while the pillars of our society are broken and seemingly incomplete… We now have a government that can’t cope with even a simple crisis at home while stumbling into an ongoing catalogue of catastrophic events abroad.”

Trump continued on the theme of unity: “National unity is now returning to America, and confidence and pride are rising in everything we do like never before. My administration is inspired by a strong pursuit of excellence and relentless success. We will not forget our country. We will not forget our constitution. And we will not forget our God.”

Trump shifted his speech to the migrant invasion crisis. He said “criminal aliens” would be deported, the capture and release would end, and U.S. forces would secure the border, adding that drug cartels would soon be considered terrorist organizations.

“As commander-in-chief, I have no greater responsibility than to protect our country from threats and invasions, and that is what I intend to do. We’re doing this at a level no one has ever seen before,” Trump said of the migration crisis unleashed by Democrats and their globalist buddies across the Heartland.

Trump turned to the inflation monster, saying, “I will direct all members of my cabinet to lead the tremendous forces at their disposal to beat record inflation and bring down costs and prices quickly.”

“We’re drilling, baby, cage,” Trump said, adding that a national energy crisis would be declared. We discussed this earlier…

The implementation of Trump’s policies has been as expected and in line with his campaign promises.

He said he would sign “historic executive orders” and “with these actions we will begin the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense.”

As for gender, Trump said, “As of today, the official policy of the United States government is that there are only two genders: male and female.”

The president noted that all efforts to “socially shape race and gender into every aspect of public and private life” will be halted on its path. Instead, he said, he “creates a society that is colorful and merit-based.”

Trump then announced that the Gulf of Mexico would be renamed the “Gulf of America.”

He praised President McKinley for the Panama Canal and his efforts during the Spanish-American War. He declared, “China operates the Panama Canal,” noting, “We will take it back.”

Trump then talked about space and wanted to “plant stars and stripes on the planet Mars.”

He vowed to “end the epidemic of chronic diseases“…

During Trump’s speech, the White House released a summary of Trump’s America’s first priorities:

Make America Safe Again

  • President Trump is taking bold steps to secure our borders and protect American communities. That includes ending Biden’s capture and release policy, restoring his stay in Mexico, building a wall, ending asylum for illegal border crossers, suppressing criminal shelters, and stepping up checks and controls on foreigners.
  • President Trump’s deportation operation deals with record border crossings by criminal aliens during the previous administration.
  • The president halts refugee resettlement after communities were forced to house large and unsustainable immigrant populations, burdening community safety and resources.
  • The armed forces, including the National Guard, deal with border security, which is national security, and are sent to the border to assist existing law enforcement personnel.
  • President Trump begins the process of designating cartels, including the dangerous Tren de Aragua, as foreign terrorist organizations and uses the Alien Enemies Act to eliminate them.
  • The Department of Justice is seeking the death penalty as an appropriate punishment for heinous crimes against humanity, including those who kill law enforcement officers and illegal immigrants who cripple and murder Americans.

Make America affordable and energy dominant again

  • The president is unleashing American energy by ending Biden’s policy of climate extremism, simplifying permitting and reviewing all regulations that place an unreasonable burden on the production and use of energy, including the extraction and processing of fuel-free minerals.
  • President Trump’s energy actions give consumers choice when it comes to vehicles, showerheads, toilets, washing machines, light bulbs and dishwashers.
  • President Trump declares an energy emergency and uses all necessary resources to build critical infrastructure.
  • President Trump’s energy policy will end leasing massive wind farms that degrade our natural landscapes and fail to serve American energy consumers.
  • President Trump is withdrawing from the Paris climate accord.
  • All institutions are taking emergency measures to reduce the cost of living.
  • President Trump announces America’s first trade policy.
  • America is no longer indebted to foreign organizations for our national tax policy, which penalises American companies.

Drain the swamp

  • The president ushers in America’s golden age by reforming and improving government bureaucracy to make it work for the American people. He freezes on hiring bureaucrats, except in important areas, to end the attack on useless and overpaid DEI activists buried in federal labor. He will suspend burdensome and radical regulations that have not yet taken effect, Biden said.
  • President Trump is announcing an unprecedented number of executive orders to resign.
  • President Trump plans to improve the accountability of government bureaucrats. The American people deserve the highest quality service from people who love our country.
  • The president also returns federal employees to work, as only 6% of employees currently work in person.
  • President Trump is taking swift steps to stop arming the government against political rivals and orders the preservation of all documents in accordance with the law. President Trump is also ending the federal government’s unconstitutional censorship. No longer do government employees choose or demand the deletion of a completely truthful speech.
  • In the direction of the president, the State Department has the American-first foreign policy.

Bring back American values

  • The president establishes the biological reality of man and woman and protects women from radical gender ideology.
  • The sights of America are called an appropriate tribute to the history of our nation.

Now is the time for a flood of executive orders.

President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance will take the oath of office at the U.S. Capitol in Rotunda in just a few short hours, officially ushering in the Trump 2.0 (“America First”) era. The ceremony marks a peaceful transition of power from the Biden-Harris regime to Trump-Vance-MAGA.

Trump and Vance will be sworn in at 11:40 a.m. at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, a decision attributed to dangerously cold temperatures outside (though speculation about security concerns, such as possible drone threats…).

Chief Justice John Roberts takes the oath of office to Trump in the Lincoln Bible and Bible, which his mother gave him in 1955. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh then takes the oath of office to Vance.

The terms of office of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris officially end at noon, as provided for in the 20th Amendment to the Constitution.

Trump will then deliver his inaugural address as president, where he should present America First’s vision for his second term.

According to CBS News, the opening ceremonies were planned by Senator Amy Klobuchar, a Democrat from Minnesota.

The Klobuchar Committee oversees eight events on Inauguration Day:

  • procession to the Capitol;
  • the swearing-in ceremony of the Vice-President;
  • the swearing-in ceremony of the President;
  • opening speech;
  • resignation of the honorary title of outgoing president and vice president;
  • a signing ceremony during which the new President signs nominations, memoranda, proclamations or executive orders;
  • opening lunch;
  • passing a review, during which the president and vice president review military personnel;
  • and the presidential parade, which is taking place in downtown Washington at the Capital One Arena because of the cold.

The exact timing of today’s inauguration ceremony:

Since the opening ceremony, the Trump-Vance administration has been working hard – it is expected to issue “nearly 100” executive orders, if not more…

CNN cited sources that Stephen Miller, Trump’s incoming deputy chief of the policy department, reviewed some of the proposed executive orders with senior Republicans in Congress on Sunday.

One of the executive orders that Trump is supposed to issue is “declaring a national energy emergency…”

We expect a flood of lawsuits from DC gender law firms to hit the Trump administration hours and days after coming to power to slow the progress of “America First,” which will put an end to many gender beings.

As for the state of the economy when Trump enters the White House, Goldman Sachs chief economist Jan Hatzius previously told clients:

On Inauguration Day 2025, the U.S. economy is in the sweet spot of healthy growth and gradual disinflation. We estimate that real GDP growth grew by 2.6% in Q4 and we expect a similar pace in 2025. Our forecast is 1/2pp higher than the latest Bloomberg consensus, in part because we are still more confident than others that real usable personal income will grow steadily in 2025 and in part due to a strong business investment forecast. Still, we’re not as far from consensus as we have been for most of the past two years, as other forecasters have become more optimistic given the continued strength of the data and, in some cases, high expectations for the growth-positive aspects of Trump’s agenda.

Perhaps Hatzius forgot to mention that the “sweet spot” of the economy is produced by debt, which rises by $ 1 trillion every 100 days.

We suspect that BlueSky users who suffer from TDS will be furious this afternoon.
